Devine Smith is the founder and chairman of Community and Edification, Inc., and the man that makes it all happen.  He draws on his relationships from over 20 years of success as a basketball coach at the college and youth level Devine uses his lessons to provide life skill training and coaching to underserved areas on Long Island.

Moniqua McCoy has established success as a Real Estate Broker and Owner of Here 2 Serve Realty Inc., located in Amityville, NY and serving Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.  She believes in transparency and education as a means to empower her clients and help them achieve their dreams of property ownership.  As one of the founders of The Power Outlet, a networking group for local entrepreneurs, she has been a passionate advocate for small businesses and the transformative power that bringing people together can have on a community.  She approaches every day with one of her favorite quotes in mind, “Together, we accomplish more.”

Vanessa Smith believes in being active!  She has been a Nassau County Probation Officer for the past 12 years and has been employed with the County under other titles since 2003.  She was previously a Women’s basketball coach at the college level for 18 years.  She is involved in multiple community based organizations focused on the growth and development of our youth, including Diverse Skill Training and Advancement of Blacks in Sports.  She is also a member of the Nassau County Guardians Association, and organization of minority law enforcement employees who seek to be the conscience of the criminal justice system and enhance the quality of life in the African American community.

Tamar Beard is a Veteran who has served 21 years of federal service as an IT professional. She is also an entrepreneur and the CEO of Beyond Beauty Bliss, LLC, a family-owned bath and body products company. Tamar grew up on Long Island, NY, and strongly believes in supporting and giving back to the places she has called home. She is passionate about working with people to create inclusion and a positive environment in the community.

Charles McCann is a seasoned Financial Advisor. He was raised in Queens, NY, and after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Long Island University Post (LIU Post) he went on to play basketball professionally in South America. Charles also is the owner of Offseason LLC, a sports consulting agency. He strives to provide his community with the education to make informed financial decisions that will have an impact for generations to come.

Sasha Grandison is an associate with the law firm Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP.  She grew up in Amityville, NY and became a basketball star on the Copiague High School team before going on to study law at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.  Sasha has strong roots in her community and is a passionate believer in giving back to the people and places that helped guide her on her path.
